Owens Valley Player Development Program | Youth Baseball

The Owens Valley Woodchucks are OVPDP’s 10U/11U competition team based in Bishop, California, created for players who are ready for additional game experience and a higher level of competition.

The Woodchucks are an invite-only team. Players are selected from within the OVPDP development pathway based on readiness, effort, coachability, skill development, attitude, and team needs.

The goal is not simply to build a tournament roster. Competition is another part of the development process — giving players opportunities to apply what they are learning, compete against stronger opponents, and continue growing on and off the field.

Selection is earned. Development comes first.

TEAM SELECTION

The Woodchucks do not hold open registration.

Roster invitations are extended by the OVPDP coaching staff based on player development, readiness, roster needs, and the specific competition opportunity.

Participation in an OVPDP development program does not guarantee selection to a competition team.

We intentionally build small, competitive rosters based on player development, team fit, and program needs. Team invitations are extended throughout the year as opportunities arise.
Age eligibility is determined as of April 30 of the current season.
